About Coach Mary
Hi there! I’m Mary, your friendly ice skating instructor. I have been on the ice for 20 years - teaching, training, show skating, hockey, or just for fun! I did professional skating in shows for 4 years and fell in love with coaching afterwards! I have been teaching figure skating and hockey students for 12+ years of all ages, including competitive figure skating, recreational ice skating for beginners, and youth & adult ice hockey lessons. I feel happiest when I am at my favorite place – a freezing cold ice rink!
Figure skating is a tough sport. We train for long hours, days, weeks, months, and years. It all boils down to a program on the ice that is just a few minutes long. Ice time, coaching, and competing is expensive. The closest ice rink may be hours away. My vision with Coach Mary Skating is to combine my love for teaching and skating to provide accessible resources to compliment your training, convenient anytime and anywhere!
